I have talked about Long Hunter State Park to many people about how beautiful the park is and how you can get with in a few feet of the most beautiful wildlife, casually walk the 2 mile trail and view the only state certified arboretum, pick up your pace and get a great workout jogging, stop and fish off one of the piers, rent a canoe, play on the playground, have a picnic. And it is so hard for me to believe that anyone would ask "Long Hunter State Park? Where is it?" Well let me tell you it's located just south of I-40E, exit 226A(Mt Juliet Rd South/Hobson Pike) just about 6 1/2 miles for I-40 look for the signs and if you cross over the lake bridge turn around you've gone to far. Hope to see you there and be the next new member of the Friends of Long Hunter State Park, it's fun! Stop by the park office for all the information of what's going on.
